Lokal-int hat zum Ziel mit schnellem Ausstellungsrhythmus und minimalem Budget zu bewegen, zu hinterfragen, zu beleben. Und versteht sich als Keimzelle für eine lebendige Kunst.

Created in 2006 Lokal-int is an artist runned space that defines itself as a creative platform for exhibitions, performances, new forms of presentations... scope for artistic development...
Lokal-int is also a social platform that promotes the dialogue between artists and the public. Situated in a former kiosk the space works as a vitrine with an emanation on public space and provides an insight into realities and concerns of the art scene.
Artists are invited to Lokal-int on a weekly basis. Every Thursday an Opening of a new artistic intervention takes place.
On the one hand it is the local art scene of Biel that builts the base of Lokal-int’s activities, on the other hand it represents a kind of satellite for artists from different parts of Switzerland and abroad.
